Blogging/Blog topics: What to blog about(Here are 10 suggestions)

I have had a lot of people telling me “Blogging is not for me”, “I could never do what you do”, “How do you come up with something to say each day?”, “videos?? oh no, nope, not me, never!”.

This blog post goes out to YOU!

Trust me, I knew very little about blogging when I first started out and I am still very much learning. However, I have learned a lot and I figured it was time to share some of my top tips on how to know what to blog about.

1. Write about something that interest you or that you are good at. 
Maybe you like baking – share a recipe you recently tried and give your review of how it turned out.
Maybe you are into fitness and want to share a new workout routine you are doing.
Maybe you are a pet lover – tell people how you take care of your pets, talk about diet, exercise, fur care etc. You name it!
2. Write about something current in the news.
Look at the news and see what is going on this day, is there something there you have an opinion on or something you liked or disliked? In the sports section, news section, entertainment section.. Anything that caught your attention that you would like to share with your readers?
P.S. writing about current news and tagging your blog post properly increase your chances of traffic drawn to that blog post. 
3. Write about something popular/trending.
Think about what a lot of people would be looking for, what do people like to read/watch? Think of something that is constantly popular and see if you can put your own twist to it.
I made a collection of youtube videos with babies laughing once, this post is still giving me loads of traffic because people seem to love babies laughing! Check out the blog post here. 
4. Write about a day in your life.
People love to hear about other people’s lives.  Take a day and make notes on what you do all day and report it. Use some photos. Make it light and funny. Or announce in the morning a schedule of what you plan to do, then the next day you can report how it all went down.
5. Make videos!
A lot of people may be uncomfortable with the idea of making videos of themselves and making them public. However, people love videos! It’s quick, easy and harmless. I am doing a 90 Day Video Challenge right now. I’m on day 44 today but I have already made a ton of videos. Make a video, post it to Youtube and share it on your blog.
You will be amazed at how comfortable you get after a few videos.

6. Try something new and share your results. 
This one relates to number 5 in a way. If there is something you always wanted to do or something you are afraid of doing – set yourself a goal and make it a challenge for yourself. Let your readers know what you are planning to accomplish and how you will go about it. Then let us know how it goes as you go along. It could be a workout challenge – doing something for X number of days, or it could be to finally go snowboarding etc. A one time challenge, overcoming a fear or just a time based challenge of doing something for several days to see the effects. Be creative, think outside the box!
7. Write reviews.
Do a quick search. Find something new, maybe there is a new movie that just came out that everyone is talking about, maybe there is a product or program you can test. Read up on it, watch the movie(if it’s a movie you want to review), get a good idea of the product/program and then write a review blog post about it. For instance “Man of Steel: Review”. Tag it properly and make a topic line that is catchy and descriptive. Super easy!
8. Make lists!
People love lists! This one relates to several of the other tips but it is so effective that it deserves its now number here. Find something you are interested in or that you think others are interested in or looking for. Make it a list.. for instance “top 5 blablablah”, “top 7 blablabla” etc. Maybe you are talking about funny photos or funny videos.. products, websites, people, motivators, politicians ,grocery stores, soda flavors.. be creative! gather good visuals(like photos and videos), link it all into your blog and give it a good title. You’d be surprised at how much people enjoy these.
9. Share other people’s stuff.
OK, so you are completely burnt out of ideas or you just don’t have the time to sit down and spend time on your blog today. How about looking around Youtube. You can find all kinds of videos there. Look for a video you think is funny, interesting, educational, emotional or cool.. A video that somehow catches your interest. Click “Share”> Click “embed”, copy that link, come back to your blog and make a new blog post, paste that link into the TEXT tab of your post editor.. click back to VISUAL and voila.. you have a cool video that you liked, and now you can share it to your readers through your blog. It took you 5 minutes max.
Also, you can look at other blogs, if you find something you like you can click “reblog” up to the left in your browser window and share that content on your own blog in a heartbeat.
10. Ask your readers what they want to hear!
This one may be challenging if your readers are not a very active bunch, but you’d be surprised to see how many actually respond when you ask for specific action. Simply ask your readers what they want to read more about. What do the like from your previous posts? What do they see more of?

Day 7/90 – 90 Day Opportunity – Find those with similar goals, hang out, be successful!

Wow, I can’t believe it is day 7 already… Kinda scary how fast time passes sometimes.

I have had 7 days of making one video per day. It’s been good but also very challenging at times. Some days I know exactly what I want to tell you guys. Other days I have to dig deep to think of what you would find interesting or valuable. PLEASE if you have a preference on what direction you want me to take in these videos, topics etc, let me know.

I have also had 7 days of my new workout regime. I have a set of exercises I have to do each single day.. Same things, every day.. but some exercises I increase reps/sets per day, others I increase per week.. I already feel stuff happening so we’ll see how I will feel in 90 days! woooh

Anyways, I’m losing track here.. Topic of today is one that fascinates me… How your environment can affect your ability to reach your goals. How you should surround yourself with likeminded people who aim for the same accomplishments as yourself, and how by doing this you can be so much more successful! Get together, work together for the common goal and see how much smoother it gets.

I have to say that the world wide web has made this world so much smaller for me, and helped me connect with other likeminded people from all over the place! Through my blog, twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc.. It makes it easier to connect and grow.
